Daylight Savings time...hurry up!

Was out walking the dog this morning.......a bit cold still but gosh I feel so good when we get done. I got smart and loaded some new songs on my Ipod last night. It sure does make it more enjoyable. There is a certain camaraderie amongst dog walkers I've noticed. I also noticed in a neighbors yard that the crocus's were in bloom. I think it's still a might early for those, but no matter, they are still a sign that spring is not so far away. The dog walking is having a positive affect on me as well. Even though it kind of sucks to be out walking the dog at 6 in the morning, and again at night, and in the afternoon's on the weekends (sigh) I do know that it's been good for my waistline, my heart, and my mind. Missy is really starting to 'emerge'. While she still doesn't like anyone to get her out of my room but me, she has gotten decidedly more playful when it's just us. She runs around my room, tail wagging, as if to say, "catch me if you

Monday, Monday

This was Valentine's weekend and we really did have a lovely Day. We had some time a lone and spent a lovely dinner at our favorite place: Panzano's. The food was delicious, the wine wonderful, and the people watching spectacular. Warren really seemed to love the watch I gave him and I think was really touched that I 'took him' out for dinner. He gave me a gorgeous necklace and we broached the subject of 'forever' without actually saying anything. I love how we dance around that subject without coming to a conclusion, however, I think it's just a matter of time. Missy continues to make strides (and not jsut walking my ass off). She has gotten into this thing about not coming out of the bedroom for other people. However, this morning as I was trying to get her ready for her walk she just jumped off of the sofa. Twice. I think in her excitement to go she forgot about the devil incarnate (better known as Lucy, the cat). We have taken to keeping Lucy in

14 Kids ~ Who let this woman b ecome a mother?

This woman, who my eldest refers to as octomom, just had 8 babies via invetro. Are you kidding me? She said in a recent article that she plans to use student loans to raise these babies. This pisses me off to no end. Since I work in education and see on a daily basis the need for student loans I am completely floored that she thinks this is a way out. Who is going to watch 14 kids while she goes to school? Who is going to pay back these loans? You can bet your sweet ass it won't be octomom. I can't believe she was so irresponsible. What's more, I can't believe the media is perpetuating her fantasies with all the coverage.
Just wanted to give you an update on Missy (Mitsy). I started calling her Missy because Mitsy was too tongue twisting to me. She is really doing fantastic. She is walking on a leash. Unbelievable. She is so proud of herself, her ears perk up and her tail stands high. She is having fun reading all of the doggy message boards ( where all the dogs tinkle). She has gone potty on the leash as well. The training treats are helping with the stairs (inside and out). Tonight she didn't hesitate coming up the steps outside. She did really well walking with all of the cars too. She has not messed in the house at all. She goes out about 8:30 at night and we go to bed about 9:00. Once I get into bed she crawls into her bed and settles down without any direction. We get up about 5:10 and I take her outside. When she comes in she has her kibbles and watches me get ready for work. We go outside again about 6:45. Today was the first day she was humanless during the day. No m
